dunes & the stunning mountain of Matmata & a ferry to
dock at Djerba la Douce (Sweet Djerba).

We left Djerba by his Roman road built on an embankment, climb
the mountain in Toujane & go up North to Kairouan, which
ancient name meant "the meeting place of caravans."
Spiritual capital of Tunisia, 1st holy city of the Maghreb,
the "city of 300 mosques”, is listed as World Heritage
by UNESCO. It has kept all its mysterious yester beauty. Our
hotel 'The Kasbah ", was built in the walls of the old
fortress & remains a listed site of Muslim architecture.
